‘Pure MAGA’: Trump warned of bizarre ‘threat’ from ‘adversarial and organized opposition’

President Donald Trump may be about to regret the spanking one angry American got from his “Daddy,” a new political analysis contends.

Tucker Carlson — a former Fox News host who tells men to tan their testicles and has publicly brushed off child marital rape — is telling the MAGA movement they need a less narcissistic and more empathetic leader, MSNOW reported Saturday.

And it could work.

“It’s one thing to float the possibility of creating a third party,” wrote Zeeshan Aleem. “But there are signs Carlson may be trying to make it happen.”

Carlson has systematically been making moves to take over Trump’s MAGA movement, first with a dramatic departure from the Republican Party over Trump’s war with Iran, then a not-so-secret compound meeting with powerful allies, and finally with the drop of a 10-point manifesto.

Aleem described Carlson’s moves as both “theatrical” but also, “surprisingly,” as “a more adversarial and organized opposition.”

That opposition includes former Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green, former National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent; and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), all of whom paid Carlson a visit recently in Maine.

Greene posted a photo of the gathering on X with a warning for Trump.

“We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise,” she wrote. “But he’s betrayed us all … The movement has begun.”

Meanwhile Kent has been doing interviews, telling “The Young Turks” show the Carlson compound meeting was to strategize an antiwar movement.

“Running as a third-party candidate is challenging,” he said. “Not impossible.”

Then, when Carlson dropped a livestream called “It’s Time to Save America,” he took direct aim at Trump — and his ties to the notorious sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

“Carlson called for a ‘recommitment to fairness’ and argued that “what rankles people so much’ about ‘the Epstein story is not that he was bad; it’s that he got a pass because of who he was,’” wrote Aleem.

“Carlson didn’t explicitly say Trump botched the release of the Epstein files, but he didn’t have to.”

Then Carlson made a bizarre pitch for himself.

“Carlson also pointedly emphasized the importance of a movement that values being ‘honest’ and ‘decent,’ an implicit broadside against a Republican Party that has descended into cartoonish corruption and cruelty under Trump,” wrote Aleem.

“The pitch that’s forming is: ‘Pure MAGA: untainted by Trump’s narcissism, warmaking and corruption.’”

Aleem warned Trump the equally bizarre state of the organized right means Carlson might be able to make this message stick.

“Trump’s grip on his party is so strong that he has all but eliminated any dissent within it — and on the rare occasions dissent does arise, he quashes it by backing primaries against his critics,” Aleem concluded.

“As far as conservative feedback goes, Trump faces no accountability within his party — so now it’s coming in the form of a threat of a new one.”
