Bill Belichick and Jordan Hudson are definitely friendly exes.
The North Carolina Tar Heels football head coach, 74, and the beauty queen, 25, were snapped in Nantucket, Massachusetts, together on July 2 in pics obtained by TMZ— despite them breaking up late last year.
During the outing, Belichick pushed a bicycle as Hudson walked beside him. The former cheerleader wore workout gear, sporting a black top, leopard-print leggings and black sneakers.
As for Belichick, he wore a striped shirt, shorts and white sneakers. He perhaps wanted to go under the radar during the outing, covering up in a navy blue baseball hat and wearing sunglasses.
There was not outward PDA between the two, and Hudson looked at her phone at one point.
On Monday, Belichick was clearly not in the mood to talk about his split from his much younger ex when WRAL reporter Brian Murphy asked him during a press conferenceif had any comment on the reports and how it might affect the football program.
Belichick replied, “Do you work for a tabloid now? I’ll keep my personal comments and relationships to myself if that’s all right with you.”
TMZ broke the news of their split Friday, with a source telling the outlet that they remain “committed to their business partnerships and remain close friends.”
Indeed, they continued to spend time together after the breakup, attending public events like the Kentucky Derby in May and the UNC football game at home in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, against Syracuse just last month.
Their breakup was mutual, the Daily Mail reported Sunday, with an insider telling the outlet that the scrutiny on their age-gap romance took its toll on their relationship and also interfered with their careers.
The insider claimed to the outlet that the couple’s relationship “pulled [Belichick’s] focus away” from his job as the North Carolina Tar Heels football head coach.
“He was thinking about taking the next steps with her, getting engaged, getting married, and building a future together, while also dealing with the constant attention and outside scrutiny that came with being in such a high-profile relationship,” the source shared.
The insider alleged that the public scrutiny “became overwhelming” for both Belichick and Hudson, who found that “their relationship started to become bigger news than either of them ever wanted.”
The duo’s age-gap romance definitely made headlines throughout their relationship, including some questioning how involved she was in his career, as well as poking fun at their dynamic.
In September, the Super Bowl-winning coach shot down rumors she was managing his coaching career, calling them “ridiculous.”
