Crystal Hefner made a final break from her late husband, Hugh Hefner, by dropping her infamous last name.
“I am Crystal Harris and I wrestled back and forth because I’m like, ‘OK, I kinda earned this name and if I could use this name to do good for the world or for women … But then I thought, I don’t want to be tied to this man in any way,” the former model — who hosts the “After the Mansion” podcast — told Page Six in an exclusive interview.
“I don’t even like that last name.”

Crystal, 40, earned a Master’s Degree in psychology on Nov. 6 and is working toward obtaining her PhD.
“The last thing I want is a doctor to be associated with the Hefner name,” she continued. “I am going after Crystal Harris. And so I was happy and proud to kick that last name off.”
Crystal noted “Hefner” had become her “identity for so long,” adding, “I don’t want I don’t want to be associated with that name or anywhere near that name.”
Hugh’s widow officially changed her last name back to Harris in 2025.

On the “Lisa Guerrero Unleashed” podcast earlier this week, Crystal made disturbing allegations against her late husband Hugh — who passed away at age 91.
She claimed the businessman tried to “shove twins [Kristina and Karissa Shannon’s] heads onto each other’s vaginas to get them to engage with each other sexually,” calling the alleged act “incest” and “disgusting.”
A rep for Kristina and Karissa didn’t respond to Page Six’s request for comment. However, Karissa previously claimed having sex with Hugh was “like rape.”
Crystal also claimed Hugh forced her and the other playmates to use dirty sex toys, saying, “I remember him pulling them out and one of them was a black, double-sided one. You could see they were dirty and he’s just grabbing us and grabbing our crotches and grabbing these dirty [sex toys] and just shoving them in us.”
A rep for Hugh’s estate did not respond to Page Six’s previous request for comment.

The former playmate also called out “regulars” of the Playboy mansion.
“There were really horrific, horrible men that came through the mansion,” Crystal told Page Six. “It was tough. Hef surrounded himself with like-minded men, Bill Cosby included, Donald Trump included, and it was very sad.”
She added, “We know Cosby is a regular. Bill Cosby hosted the Playboy Jazz Festival for many, many years. And I remember one day we show up to the Playboy Jazz Festival and usually we have to take the picture with Bill Cosby and it’s awkward and he was always gross.”
Crystal also revealed that the Playboy Mansion was nicknamed “Jack Nicholson’s drive-thru.”
She alleged, “He could drive up, there’d be women there, there’d food there, and he would just collect what he needed and left. We all know that that man is also notorious for being a regular, very regular at the mansion.”

Crystal specifically called out actor Jon Lovitz as Playboy Mansion’s “No. 1 customer,” claiming he is “one of the biggest pervs” in Hollywood.
In a video obtained by Page Six, he responded to her claims, “Any time someone says I’m No. 1, it’s a compliment.” He called the late Playboy founder “one of the nicest, most generous people.”
A rep for Hugh’s estate did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

In Crystal’s interview with Page Six, she fired back at Lovitz for mocking her, “I think Jon Lovitz is part of the problem. I think many men who came up to that mansion [and] were very sexist and misogynistic are all part of that problem.”
She added, “If I could dismantle that toxic masculinity and patriarchy just a little bit, I will feel happy. It’s very sad.”
Crystal was married to Hugh from 2011 until he passed away in 2017.
