The White House used to be a beacon for the world, a shining symbol of strength and dignity in our leadership. Now it’s a hull of a construction zone staffed with traitors treating it like a frat house.
Self-proclaimed “successful businessman” Donald Trump has been spectacularly unsuccessful at keeping a consistent staff on his payroll. While a few longtime employees have stayed loyal to him for reasons I’ll never understand, Trump tends to hire for looks and loyalty — rather than experience — for the more public-facing roles in his regime.
In the first category, you have the Ivanka Wannabees who occupied the White House Press Room podium for various lengths of time, with Mini-Scaramucci Katie Zacharia setting the record for the shortest stint as press secretary, at a mere 14 minutes of actual working time.
Also on the “straight out of central casting” list of hires is Pete Hegseth, who had a makeup studio/green room built at the Pentagon so he’d always be camera-ready for those cringey photo-ops where he couldn’t even pull off a pull-up.
But in the second category, loyalty bests both looks and brains, as evidenced by possibly the dumbest person to ever serve in the White House, Steven Cheung, who currently serves as communications director. Cheung, a college dropout who worked for the UFC, was hired by the Trump campaign in 2016 to be its “rapid response director,” which essentially gave him free rein to bully anyone who told the truth about Trump.
Cheung is still bullying everyone he can to this day, both from his personal Twitter account as well as the “Rapid Response”account, lowering the bar to subterranean levels when it comes to official communications FROM THE WHITE HOUSE. He’s used the R word to describe members of the media and incorporates made-up MAGA language like “libturds,” “Demo-rats” or “Dumocrats,” and the infamous “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” aka “TDS,” which is fully stupid because you’d have to be deranged to choose loyalty to Trump over America.
This excerpt from his Wikipedia pageis a perfect example of the caliber of person Cheung is. Which is to say, he’s a total garbage human.
Cheung served as the White House assistant communications director and later the director of strategic response in Trump’s first presidency. According to former White House aide Cliff Sims, Cheung was instrumental in ensuring Neil Gorsuch’s Supreme Court nomination and the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. In June 2018, Cheung was fired by John F. Kelly amid broader staff changes. After leaving the White House, Cheung consulted for several campaigns, including Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign and Caitlyn Jenner’s campaign in the 2021 California gubernatorial recall election. In September 2022, he began leading communications for MAGA Inc., Trump’s super PAC. Cheung later became the director of communications for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. In November 2024, Trump named Cheung as his White House communications director.
The deliberate dumbing-down of political discourse which began with Trump’s Twitter account in 2015 has resulted in the stupidest timeline in global history, with Cheung leading the excavation team creating a new low for humanity every day. Here’s just one shining example of how Cheung brings down the collective MAGA IQ to a lower negative number while also making sure we’ve never looked weaker on the global stage.
Aside from sounding like a second-grade remedial class bully who learned bullying language from his older bully brother in the fifth grade remedial class, plenty has been made of Cheung’s appearance. I’ve compared him to Oddjob from “Goldfinger” because of the stunning resemblance. Is it low-hanging fruit? Sure, but I feel this is a measured response to Cheung referring to Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff in such a juvenile way.
Earlier this week, Cheung used a slur for a person with Down syndrome in a tweet about journalist Andrew Feinberg of The Independent. Feinberg, who had introduced himself only moments before, asked an additional question, which drew a vicious attack from Trump and got him bannedfrom the White House.
Instead of acknowledging that Trump fumbled a question, because why would Oddjob ever tell the truth, he tweeted…this.
The “M” word replaces the R word there. The “disgraceful behavior” was Feinberg just asking a question, which is his job. Cheung won’t be reprimanded for using that alliterative term, which has already stuck with the MAGA cult.
Cheung has been named as a top contender to replace Natalie Zacharia, and despite the odds for Oddjob, it really would signal the lowest low of the Trump regime if he’s given carte blanche to lie to the press while bullying them from the White House Press Room. He’d be up there using slurs on Day One and acting like he was giving a last-minute presentation in his remedial second-grade class where he didn’t do the homework first.
What would he say, for example, when asked about a federal judge giving Trump until December 11 to sit for a deposition in his own lawsuit against the BBC or risk losing the case? Probably something like this, which is said to the New York Times this month:
“America is rightly distrustful of the fake news media because they fabricate stories based off lies and sources who are not even privy to any type of information.”
That’s honestly the most adult thing he’s ever said but, of course, that won’t last long as the White House is freaking out over losing the midterms and what the repercussions of a Democratic majority in Congress means for Trump and his loyalists.
If Cheung isn’t the next press secretary, he just might be the next White House Chief of Staff, as longtime Trump loyalist Susie Wiles is said to be on the way out of the revolving door after the midterms. But as long as he’s in Trump’s employ, instead of prison where he and the rest of the regime belong, Steven Cheung will be allowed to bully whomever he wants from the official White House social media accounts.
And that shouldn’t be tolerated, just like Trump targeting the press or any other individuals shouldn’t be tolerated.
