Mystery deepens as Trump ally somehow maintains prolific online presence from behind bars

A prominent MAGA activist has confused onlookers after continuing to publish content online in support of the Trump administration — content that was shared by President Donald Trump as recently as Friday — despite being jailed and held without bond for more than two months.

Ryan Fournier, 30, co-founded the organization Students for Trump in 2015, which was acquired by Turning Point Action in 2019. He was invited to a White House social media summit in 2019, and was listed as a VIP alongside Trump’s own sons for the Jan. 6, 2021 “Save America Rally” at the U.S. Capitol.

Since July 2, however, Fournier has been held without bond at a jail in Washington, D.C. on a “seven-count indictment with multiple felonies,” per the Daily Mail, charges stemming from an incident in which he allegedly beat his girlfriend and threatened to kill her while holding a switchblade knife.

And yet, Fournier’s account on X has continued to publish content in support of Trump and his administration regularly, content that was shared by Trump himself as recently as Friday.

“It is reported that Ryan Fournier has been in jail all summer yet his account is posting all day long. Everyday. Who is running his account?” asked former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) in a social media post on X Sunday.

“There needs to be major public transparency on paid social media accounts. Who runs them? Who pays them?”

The bizarre spectacle also comes amid recent reporting that exposed a secret MAGA influence operation being conducted from within the Pentagon. According to The Washington Post, the Pentagon has hired several MAGA influencers to “attack those who scrutinize the Trump administration,” positions that “neither the Pentagon nor those involved have disclosed.”

Fournier was arrested on assault charges in 2023 after allegedly striking another woman — identified as his girlfriend at the time — “in the forehead” with a firearm, though the charges were later dropped.
