Prince Harry commits to dangerous stunt for first appearance since UK return

Prince Harry is making another jump.

The Duke of Sussex, 41, will participate in a skydiving fundraiser later this month, which will mark one of his first public outings since moving back to the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children.

Harry is set to hop out of an airplane to raise money for the Sunnybrook and True Patriot Love foundations, two Canadian military charities. The actual date of the event has not yet been disclosed.

According to the event’s announcement, Harry committed to the daring act after meeting 102-year-old World War II veteran Ed Marshall at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Ontario in November of last year. The two formed a tight bond over their military experiences and passion for serving their communities.

During their conversation, Marshall detailed his own involvement in the skydiving event to celebrate his 100th birthday, and Harry was inspired to try it out himself, the organization said.

While Marshall won’t be present for the stunt, his grandson, Bailey, is expected to attend in his honor.

Harry has previous ties to the organizations behind the jump, as both played roles in bringing his Invictus Games to Canada.

In addition to creating the sporting event for wounded, injured and sick military members, Harry served in the British Army for 10 years, including two tours in Afghanistan as a Forward Air Controller and Apache helicopter pilot.

Harry and Meghan, who left the royal family in 2020, hopped the pond from their California home with their kids, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, on Aug. 26 to be closer to King Charles III as he battles cancer, Page Six has been told.

The family is expected to stay for an “extended period,” and the children have been enrolled in a prep school with a $25k per year tuition.

Before their move, Page Six was told their house-hunting was underway, and they were eyeing homes in Cotswolds.

Harry and Meghan, 45, have yet to comment on the move.
