TIME Reveals the Inaugural 2026 Trailblazers: Designing and Making the Future List

Presented in partnership with Autodesk, TIME will convene this year’s listmakers at a special event in Las Vegas on September 14.

Today, TIME reveals the inaugural TIME Trailblazers: Designing and Making the Future list recognizing an exclusive group of architects, engineers, founders, technologists, and builders whose work is expanding what is possible across housing, infrastructure, climate adaptation, mobility, and public health.

Of the inaugural list, TIME editors write: “Our inaugural TIME Trailblazers list recognizes those leaders who, across the world, are designing and making the future…This is a world full of potential, promise, and problems to solve. Autodesk is the presenting partner of the TIME Trailblazers: Designing and Making the Future list.

“The people designing and making our future are tackling some of the biggest challenges of our time—from housing and infrastructure to manufacturing and climate resilience,” said Dara Treseder, Chief Marketing Officer of Autodesk. “These Trailblazers are showing us what’s possible, and we’re proud to partner with TIME to recognize the people designing and making a better world for all.”

To recognize the 2026 TIME Trailblazers: Designing and Making the Future listmakers making an impact across industries, TIME will host an invite-only gathering in Las Vegas on September 14, presented by Autodesk. The event will feature remarks by select members of the list, including CEO at ICON Jason Ballard, Professional Climber & Founder of the Honnold Foundation Alex Honnold, Chief scientist and CEO of The Hydrous Erika Woolsey, Founder and Executive Director of Resilience Force Saket Soni, and CEO of Zoox Aicha Evans.
