Former MS NOW host Katie Phang accused Attorney General Todd Blanche of lying to the court to avoid Jeffrey Epstein file disclosures in In a terse court filing submitted Wednesday morning.
In a post on X, journalist Scott MacFarlane published a link to the document and wrote, “In court filing this morning, lawyer for @KatiePhangasks judge to direct Todd Blanche to finally produce FBI interview notes from Epstein Files.. for possible release.”
He added, “Phang says Blanche continues to defy June court order requiring release of more files.”
Phang’s attorney Brendan Ballou argued in the filing that Blanche changed his story and made misrepresentations to the court, as he continued to drag his feet and press for an appeal.
“Previously, he argued that he could not appeal this case,” Ballou wrote. “His position appears to have now changed, and he has filed what he describes as a ‘protective notice of appeal…But the Defendant has not actually filed any motion to stay this Court’s preliminary injunction or the current proceedings or made any substantive argument why these proceedings should be stayed. The Defendant’s argument can be dismissed on that basis alone.”
Ballou then urged U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan to “compel the Defendant to follow the Epstein Files Transparency Act, as well as thisCourt’s orders, the Court should direct an in camera review of the FBI interview notes, and direct Defendant to produce a complete redaction log.”
