Late Night Rags on Trump and His Cabinet Joining TikTok

Welcome to Late Night Roundup, a rundown of the previous night’s highlights that lets you sleep — and lets us get paid to watch comedy. Here are the 50 best movies on Netflix right now.

R.I.P. TikTok

President Trump and several other members of his cabinet created TikTok accounts on Tuesday after the Justice Department deemed the app safe for federal employees.

“Right now TikTok is, like, ‘Oh, no, are we the new Facebook?’” Jimmy Fallon said on Wednesday’s “Tonight Show.”

“I’m sure Gen Z will be, like, ‘OMG, you will not believe what Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum just posted. Slay!’” — JIMMY FALLON

“Cool, cool. You’ve got laser eyes, and the rest of us have measles and poop lettuce. Thanks for giving us content to watch while we are sitting on the toilet [expletive] our guts out from a parasite that you’re not doing anything to stop.” — DESI LYDIC, on a TikTok by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

“Listen, we are going through real problems, and you guys are making TikToks? You’re so cavalier about all of this, all you care about is your image and your power. But guess what? These are American issues, and it’s only a matter of time before these American issues affect you, too.” — DESI LYDIC

The Punchiest Punchlines (Elon’s Odyssey Edition)

“Meanwhile, we could have yet another ‘Odyssey’ movie on the way. Now, Elon Musk is planning to create what he calls a ‘historically accurate’ version of ‘The Odyssey’ using his Grok A.I. And by ‘historically accurate,’ he means whiter than Christmas at Cracker Barrel.” — COLMAN DOMINGO, guest host of Jimmy Kimmel Live!

“Of course, this is all because Elon and his musketeers are upset over the diversity casting of ‘The Odyssey.’ And I don’t want to get technical here, but you can’t make a historically accurate version of something that is totally made the [expletive] up.” — COLMAN DOMINGO

“I mean, ‘The Odyssey’ is fiction, you know, like ‘The Hunger Games,’ or the president’s cognitive exams.” — COLMAN DOMINGO

“I mean, come on. Doesn’t Elon Musk have better things to do? Wasn’t this [expletive] supposed to be on Mars by now?” — COLMAN DOMINGO

“But maybe we should show a little compassion for Elon. This is a tough time for him. Helen of Troy is a beautiful Black woman, and this week, Jimmy Kimmel is a beautiful Black man.” — COLMAN DOMINGO, referring to himself as guest host
