To celebrate the upcoming F1 film starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, Mercedes-AMG has revealed the GT 63 “APXGP Edition,” a 577-hp special edition sports car limited to just 52 units globally. Unveiled at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, the model is inspired by the film’s fictional APXGP team and features a hand-applied Race Gold livery, forged 21-inch wheels, carbon fiber aero kit and motorsport-grade brake and suspension upgrades.
The coupe includes AMG’s 4L V8 biturbo engine paired with Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive and advanced tech such as active roll stabilization and rear-axle steering. Inside, gold-accented carbon trim, illuminated sills and Nappa leather seats underscore the edition’s cinematic flair.
Mercedes-AMG worked closely with the film’s producers — including Joseph Kosinski and Jerry Bruckheimer — providing vehicles and F1 expertise for scenes shot during real Grand Prix weekends. A global co-promotion campaign will support the movie’s theatrical debut, scheduled for June 27, 2025.
Only 52 of the “APXGP Edition” models will be made, each featuring a numbered plaque and a custom AMG car cover. This marks a rare intersection of motorsport, film and bespoke automotive craftsmanship. At the time of writing, Mercedes has not yet revealed details on pricing for the limited edition model.
