Red Baron vendor who schooled Instagram pranksters ‘blown away’ by $400K fundraiser

He’s having the last laugh.

A Michigan father who obliterated a pair of dim-witted Instagram trolls that played a cruel prank on him while he was working at a grocery store said he’s “absolutely blown away” after over $400,000 poured into a fundraiser for him in just two days.

In the viral video, a pair of foolish pranksters approached the Red Baron rep — identified only as Michigan local Walt Z — while he was stocking freezer shelves.

They asked him what the time was and then proceeded to pretend to steal money from him using a fake Apple Pay sound.

In response to the sick stunt, the hardworking employee unleashed a tirade on the pair.

“My life is hard enough as it is, okay? I don’t need this crap,” Walt says.

“Bro, bro, it’s just a joke! It’s just a prank,” the Instagrammer in the video hits back.

“I got kids at home that went to bed without me right now! I was supposed to be off an hour ago! I gotta wake up at 5 in the morning and do 10 more stores!” the fed-up worker shouts.

“I’m sorry, bro, chill. We’re just filming a video, it was just a joke —” he says, before Walt cuts him off and steps forward.

“No, you don’t! You’re probably making money off of this! I can’t even pay my goddamn mortgage! And I got four kids at home! So not funny!” Walt shoots back.

The cruel fools posted the video to Instagram but quickly wiped it and deactivated their account after they were slapped with massive backlash.

In support of the hardworking father, a verified online fundraiser was set up for Walt on GoFundMe — which has already raked in roughly $413,000 in donations.

“Walt Z out of Michigan sends a heartfelt thankyou, and is absolutely blown away by how much people have cared over this,” the fundraiser’s organizer Luke Oakenshield wrote Wednesday.

The Red Baron rep is “requesting privacy” after the social media stunt and the funds will be directly transferred to him, according to Oakenshield.

“You’re all Rockstars, and it shows,” he added.

Oakenshield said he created the fundraiser because since the video went viral, “there is real concern that this hardworking person could lose their job because of a situation they did not create.”

A spokesperson for Red Baron’s parent company told The Post in a statement Wednesday that they were aware of the video and have “connected directly with our team member to check on his well-being, and we continue to offer our full support.”

“We are pleased to share that he is doing well and remains a valued member of our team,” the spokesperson added.
