These 20 airlines are the best in the business. Business class, that is.
Skytrax, an aviation rating company, conducted the world’s largest airline passenger satisfaction survey to determine the airlines with the best business-class offerings in the world.
The airlines were evaluated by customers from over 100 nationalities between September 2025 and August 2026. Skytrax also ranked business-class lounges, seats, and catering across carriers.
Qatar Airways’ famous QSuite won for the 13th time. The seat has sliding privacy doors, an option for a double bed, and center suites that can be combined into a shared space for up to four people.
An increasing number of airlines are leaning into premium travel to boost revenue, adding elevated amenities, lounges, and experiences that will court higher-paying customers.

20. Austrian Airlines
On long-haul flights, Austrian Airlines serves Viennese cuisine from Austrian catering company DO & CO. The airline also has “flying chefs” to elevate the onboard dining experience.

Business class on British Airways is known as Club World.
18. Malaysia Airlines
Malaysia Airlines won Skytrax’s award for Best Airline Staff Service in Asia and placed third in the broader World’s Best Cabin Crew category.
17. Iberia
Iberia was recognized by Skytrax as the winner of the Best Airline Staff Service in Europe title. Iberia also placed 16th in Skytrax’s overall World’s Best Airline ranking.
16. Etihad Airways
Etihad Airways ranked ninth in Best Business Class Airline Seats and fifth in Best Business Class Airline Comfort Amenities.
15. Lufthansa
Lufthansa was the 14th best airline in the world in Skytrax’s overall ranking. It also ranked third in both the World’s Best First Class Airlines and World’s Most Family Friendly Airlines categories.
14. Qantas Airways
Aside from being named the 12th-best airline in the world, Qantas won the titles of Best Airline in the Australia/Pacific Region and Best Airline Staff Service in the Australia/Pacific Region.
Qantas is upgrading its business-class seats and amenities on forthcoming Project Sunrise flights with perks such as privacy doors, memory foam mattresses, and larger screens.
13. Delta Air Lines
Delta Air Lines’ onboard WiFi was ranked second-best in the world behind Qatar Airways.
12. Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic’s business-class offerings were ranked 12th, while the airline overall placed 18th in Skytrax’s World’s Best Airline ranking.
11. Emirates
Skytrax ranked Emirates the sixth-best airline in the world. It also took the top spot in the World’s Best Airline Inflight Entertainment category.
10. EVA Air
EVA Air, a Taiwanese carrier, won World’s Most Family Friendly Airline, World’s Best Premium Economy Class, and World’s Best Premium Economy Class Amenities in addition to making the top 10 for its business-class offerings.
9. Japan Airlines
In addition to ranking ninth in Skytrax’s World’s Best Business Class ranking, Japan Airlines also had the sixth-best business-class seats.
8. Air France
Air France’s business-class seats ranked 10th, and its onboard catering ranked seventh in Skytrax’s passenger ranking.
7. STARLUX Airlines
STARLUX Airlines had the seventh-best business-class seats and the sixth-best business-class onboard catering in Skytrax’s ranking.
6. Turkish Airlines
Turkish Airlines’ “flying chef” in business class helped the airline secure the top title of Best Business Class Onboard Catering.
5. Hainan Airlines
Hainan Airlines had the best business-class amenities of any airline in Skytrax’s ranking.
4. All Nippon Airways
ANA was found to have the second-best business-class seat behind Qatar Airways.
3. Cathay Pacific Airways
Cathay Pacific Airways’ business-class seats placed third in Skytrax’s ranking, while its business-class catering placed eighth.
2. Singapore Airlines
Skytrax’s passenger survey determined that Singapore Airlines had the fourth-best business-class seats and the fifth-best business-class catering. It also won the title of world’s best airline for the sixth year in a row in Skytrax’s overall contest.
1. Qatar Airways
Skytrax named Qatar Airways the world’s best business-class airline. Its Q-Suite won the award for the World’s Best Business Class Seat, and the airline’s Al Mourjan Garden Lounge at Hamad International Airport in Doha was named the World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounge.
