For the first time in four years, Serena and Venus Williams are returning to the US Open as a doubles team.
Both sisters have already competed separately at the 2026 tournament: Serena and Carlos Alcaraz reached the quarterfinals of the mixed doubles championship, while Venus lost her first-round singles match to Sofia Kenin on Sunday night.

The Williams sisters are taking on Hao-Ching Chan and Maya Joint in the US Open 2026 doubles tournament on Sept. 3, 2026 at 7 p.m. ET, airing on ESPN2.
Serena faced off with Joint at Wimbledon in June — for the first singles match of her comeback — though she ultimately faced a four-set loss.
