Billionaire Beyoncé gets dragged over selling empty wooden box — for $1K

Beyoncé’s fans aren’t crazy in love with her latest merch.

The Grammy winner, who reached billionaire status last year, is selling a Bey Keeper Collector’s Box for $948.01, with only 500 of the limited-edition item available for purchase.

The hefty sum, notably, is a nod to Beyoncé’s birthday — Sept. 4, 1981.

There are “no vinyls included” in the crate, which was listed on the singer’s website Friday.

Per the product description, the 18-by-14-inch pine wood crate, which is “lined with deep green velvet,” was designed to “house and display your Beyoncé vinyl collection.” It was “inspired by the beauty of traditional beekeeper crates” and features “custom engraved details” and “a faux gator-skin leather carrying strap with gold hardware.”

However, per the website, “vinyls [are] not included” with the purchase of the box.

With shipping coming in at an estimated $60.50, and taxes approximately $103.38, the estimated total cost would set a fan back $1,111.89. That being said, we can’t imagine many Beyhive members will get in formation for this one! (Unless you’re @AccessAnthony.)

On social media, many users are already having a heyday over the “absurd” price of the product, which dropped on Friday, Beyoncé’s 45th birthday, as part of the 20th anniversary celebration of her second album, “B’Day.”

Shipping and taxes brings the total to well over $1,000.

“A band and I can’t even get real gator on the strap?” one tweeted, with another comparing it to a “coffin for a hamster” or the songwriter “clearing out her storage units.”

A third wrote via Instagram, “This would’ve made sense if vinyls were included but almost 1k for just the box by itself…? girl no.”

Beyoncé released 13 records as part of Destiny’s Child, including five studio albums, five compilation albums, two remix albums and one extended play.

Additionally, she launched 26 more — eight studio albums, five live albums, five compilation albums, one soundtrack album, two karaoke albums and five EPs — after leaving the group to go solo.

Many referred to the listing as “insane robbery,” while one fan quipped, “Insane because do you know how CHEAP pine wood is? You can easily make this for maybe $30 🙄.”

Some, however, speculated that the box could include “Easter eggs,” sharing “theories” that there is actually “stuff in there” as a “surprise.”

Others defended the item — and their decision to purchase it.

“Idk bout y’all, but i’ma do WHAT I WANT!” one wrote alongside a screenshot of their shopping cart.

One social media user who “love[s] B” urged fans to not “be stupid” and “buy that damn box,” saying, “If y’all idiots pay $948.01 for an empty box … that has a bee on it, y’all are psychos. Do you understand me?”

Beyoncé’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
