California Democrat voters, for over twenty years, have inflicted unimaginable damage on the once great Golden State.
Consider the gravity of the problem.
Years ago, then-boxing heavyweight champion Larry Holmes fought a tough but hapless journeyman fighter named Randall “Tex” Cobb.
Holmes pummeled him the entire fight. But Cobb never went down.

Once Holmes hit Cobb’s face so hard the challenger’s head practically spun 180 degrees like a scene from “The Exorcist.”
But Cobb refused to fall.
Holmes hit him with everything but a tire iron. He brutalized Cobb for 15 rounds.
When bell rang at the end of the fight, Cobb remained standing. Asked whether he wanted a rematch. Cobb replied, “No, Larry’s hands couldn’t take the punishment.”
Like Cobb, non-Democrat-voting Californians are made of fire-resistant, earthquake-proof, industrial strength material. Year after year, Democrat-voting Democrats elect tax, spend and regulate politicians who proceed to tax, spend and regulate. Every dumb idea embraced by Democrats in Washington D.C. has already been tried twice in California.

Yet, somehow, someway, non-Democrat voting Californians take the battering, stitch up the cuts, and ice the lumps. When the alarm rings in the morning, they get up, drive over to Starbucks, and stagger in to work. It is rather impressive.
Outside the stadium where the Los Angeles Lakers play, statues honor past Laker greats. But nowhere in the state is there an Iwo Jima-type statue to honor the brave, long-suffering, non-Democrat voting Californians.
Non-Democrat voting Californians watch their beloved state reel under the policies of the likes of California Governor Gavin Newsom; the Democrat supermajority in the state Senate and Assembly; and the succession of Democrat mayors in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Still, most non-Democrat voting voters remain, hurt and bloody — but optimistic that someday, at some point, the other voters will wake up, see the homeless encampments, and smell the feces.
The average price of a home in California is twice that of that national average. The state has the nation’s second-highest unemployment, the slowest job growth, and the most illegal aliens.
An illegal alien living in California who attends a state college or university qualifies for cheaper in-state tuition, a privilege for which a Wisconsin student attending UCLA is not eligible.

California leads the nation in homelessness. Californians pay the highest gas prices of any state. California has the highest electricity prices in the lower 48 states. Its state income tax is the highest state in the country.
California elected its last Republican to a statewide office over 20 years ago. That’s any statewide office.
In addition to electing supermajorities in the state Senate and the State Assembly, Democrat-voting Democrats have elected a succession of Democrats as mayors of Los Angeles and San Francisco. Los Angeles last elected a Republican mayor in 1997, when 30% of its voters registered Republican. Today the number is 15%. California Republicans could apply for protection under the Endangered Species Act.
Years ago, voters passed an initiative to build a “high-speed train” from Los Angeles to San Francisco, estimated at the time to cost around $33 billion. Today the California High Speed Rail Authority estimates the train — still not built — will cost over $200 billion.
In 2023, lawmakers passed, and Newsom signed, a minimum wage hike of nearly 25% for fast food workers. One study found the hike cost nearly 10,000 fast food worker jobs, including 1100 jobs that Pizza Hut had axed almost immediately when the bill passed the legislature and the governor signed it.

So, what to do? It’s time for real, decisive action. We need bold, out-of-the-box thinking. It’s time for term limits. That is, term limits for voters.
Voters who vote for the Democratic Party time and time again despite the obvious disastrous results demonstrate a scary lack of the ability to reason, to think clearly, and to assess the wreckage caused by their votes. When an alcoholic at the bar who consumes too many drinks, we take away the keys to his car. Democrat-voting Democrats need time to sober up. Let them sit out a few election cycles.
And, who knows? After attending mandatory voter group therapy, Democrat-voting Democrats might earn back their right to vote. It must be temporary because many, if not most, would likely relapse.
Meanwhile California might just be saved.
Okay, losing the right to vote is draconian. Critics will say, “Told you Republicans resort to anything to suppress our vote!”
So, consider this alternative punishment: A mandatory bumper sticker: “Blame me — I voted for these clowns.”
