It’s a tough time to be a young adult.
Entry-level jobs are down. The prospect of buying a home feels like a pipe dream. And loneliness and social isolation are ever more pervasive.
I’m a New York Times reporter who covers people roughly 35 and under. (I’m 27 myself.) And I want to know what’s on your mind.
I’m interested in hearing from young adults in New York City and the surrounding region. But feel free to respond if you’re a parent, career coach, counselor or anyone else who spends time with young people — or if you’re a young person outside of the area and would like to share something.
I’ll read every response to this questionnaire and may reach out to you to learn more about your story. We won’t publish any part of your response without first following up with you and hearing back. And we won’t share your contact information outside the Times newsroom or use it for any purpose other than to get in touch with you.
Troy Closson is a reporter for The Times covering children, teenagers and young adults in New York City.
