Halle Berry’s ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, said he hopes their son, Maceo, will “forgive” his mother following his parents’ bitter custody battle.
After the judge issued her ruling on Thursday, Martinez told “Extra” that he “truly hopes” Berry and Maceo, 13, “will be able to have a better relationship in the future.”
“I don’t want my son to hate his mom. I want him to love her,” Martinez told the outlet. “I want him to forgive her, and I want them to reconciliate [sic] in some sort at one point.”

On Thursday, Judge Shelley Kaufman dissolved the temporary restraining order against Berry granted to Martinez, but allowed the latter to retain physical custody of Maceo.
The former couple will continue to share legal custody, and their custody arrangement is set to be discussed at a hearing next month.
In a win for Berry, Kaufman also dismissed Martinez’s request for a domestic violence restraining order against his ex.

Berry’s attorney, Marina Beck, told Page Six exclusively after the hearing, “We are extremely pleased that the Court has dissolved the TRO. As we move forward, Halle is determined to continue to focus on the well-being and best interests of her family.”
A source called the decision “a huge win for Halle.”
Berry and Martinez, both 60, have been embroiled in a bitter custody battle since earlier this month, when he accused his ex-wife of physically abusing Maceo, including allegedly jumping on and choking him.
Martinez filed for a temporary restraining order against Berry, requesting sole custody of their son, which he was later granted, leaving the actress with court-ordered visitation with Maceo.

Berry has vehemently denied the allegations, with her attorney describing Martinez’s filing as “entirely meritless and deliberately misleading” in a statement shared with Page Six.
She later hit back at Martinez, accusing him of influencing Maceo to become “angry and combative” toward her, while asking the court to reinstate their 50/50 custody agreement.
As Page Six exclusively reported on Oct. 15, Berry was also seeking sole legal custody of Maceo and wanted the court to restore her authority over major decisions affecting his welfare. She argued that Martinez had repeatedly interfered with their son’s needs.

Inside the courtroom on Oct. 19, Maceo testified for nearly four hours, with eyewitnesses describing the hearing as “icy.”
The following day, Page Six exclusively reported that Martinez stormed out of the courtroom looking agitated and distressed and could be heard using profanity. He returned roughly five minutes later for closed testimony.
During his Oct. 22 testimony, he doubled down on his allegations against Berry, despite being presented with a 2024 declaration he had signed under penalty of perjury stating that there had been no history of domestic violence between the former couple.
Earlier this week, Berry’s daughter, Nahla Aubry, 18, and her fiancé, Van Hunt, 56, took the stand ahead of closing arguments.
