Prince William won’t be reaching out to Prince Harry anytime soon — despite the Duke of Sussex’s recent public plea for a reconciliation.
“Will William respond? I would be astonished if he responded publicly,” Tom Sykes, European Editor at Large of The Daily Beast and author of The Royalist Substack, exclusively told Page Six Tuesday. “He never does, and his silence is itself the response.”
The royal journalist noted that Harry and William have not spoken since 2022 and Harry’s recent interview with GQ won’t “change that.”

“Will it have frustrated him? I’m sure it will,” Sykes continued. “Being lectured in public about reconciliation by the person who has caused the problem is exactly what William finds so hard to forgive.
“Putting the onus on him through the pages of a magazine is not how you repair a relationship.”
Harry admitted that he wants to make amends with his estranged older brother in an on-camera interview with GQ published Tuesday.
However, he also claimed that “some people don’t want it to work out.”

“I want it to work out. Of course I do,” he continued. “With everything else that’s going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile. That’s the key point.”
While his words seemed to suggest that their royal family members were against the brothers burying the hatchet, Harry’s rep denied that claim.
“It was absolutely not intended as a swipe at his brother or any other member of his family,” his spokesperson told us, adding, “The comment was made in a general context and was not directed at his family in any way.”
Harry, 42, and William, 44, have been on the outs since the former and his wife, Meghan Markle, resigned from their royal duties and moved to California in 2020.

Once they made the move, Harry and Markle repeatedly aired their private family drama in multiple interviewsas well as in the Duke’s 2023 memoir, “Spare.”
In the book, Harry claimed William physically attacked him in a fight about Markle. Harry alleged that William called the former “Suits” star “difficult,” “rude” and “abrasive.”
Additionally, Harry claimed William warned him not to propose to Markle, saying that they were moving “too fast.”
The renegade royal also accused William and his wife, Kate Middleton, of encouraging him to wear a Nazi uniform to a private “natives and colonials”-themed costume party in 2005.

It is unclear if Harry has ever apologized directly to William or Middleton for these claims, though the Invictus Games founder has yet to break bread with his sibling since he moved back to the UK in August.
As Page Six previously reported, Harry and the As Ever founder returned to England after living in Montecito, Calif., for six years.
He shared in his GQ interview that they moved back across the pond to create “opportunities for the family,”noting that he wanted their kids — Prince Archie, 7, and Prince Lilibet, 5 — to attend British schools.
Upon their return, King Charles III clarified to the country that the couple would remain private citizens and would not be taking on any official royal duties.

Last week, Harry and Markle made their first official joint public appearancesince moving back to the UK in Nottingham, England.
While Harry and William remain at odds, the former and his father have taken steps to make up.
Page Six has reached out to William’s rep for comment.
