“Dancing with the Stars” contestant Tyler Cameron revealed that his fiancée gave him the green light to get down and dirty on the dance floor with his partner, Sharna Burgess.
“She’s like, ‘Touch her. Touch her leg. Do what you’re supposed to do in the dance. Don’t be a prude little middle-schooler,’ which I tend to act like sometimes,” Cameron, 33, said Tuesday during a rehearsal break.

“She’s about the performance of it all and making that come to life because she was a dancer, so she understands. This is one of her dreams,” he added.
Cameron made his reality show debut as the runner-up on Hannah Brown’s season of “The Bachelorette” in 2019, which landed him a modeling contract and his own home renovation show. He met Madden, a photographer, on the set of “Going Home with Tyler Cameron” in 2022. They announced their engagement in August.

Madden, 33, is also helping her leading man — the most-followed male in the “Bachelor” franchise, with 2.1 million Instagram followers — perfect his sultry steps on Season 35 of the ABC competition series.
“When Ty’s not with me, he’s usually in the gym with either himself or Tate practicing his moves, which I very much appreciate,” said Burgess, 41.
At Wake Forest University, Cameron took ballet and jazz classes to boost his GPA before graduating in 2015, but he said the experience hasn’t given him a leg up on the show.
“I ended up really liking it a lot. It didn’t really help me much, though, I’ll say that … All that’s out the window,” he said.

Cameron also played football as a backup quarterback at Wake Forest, and said his former teammates are having a ball watching him dance.
“I’m in a group chat with them. Every week they text me. They have very strong opinions … It’s a wild chat to be in.”

One of those teammates, former “Bachelor” Matt James, was also on “Dancing with the Stars” back in 2021 and gave him not-so-great advice ahead of the show, which is filmed in Los Angeles.
“We were laughing because he was like, ‘Man, just have fun. Enjoy the time … Do all the things that LA has to offer,’” he recalled.
“And I was like, ‘Man, I got no time for fun, I want to dance.’”
After “Dancing with the Stars,” Cameron, a general contractor in his native Jupiter, Fla., will start filming “Let’s Go Back to Your Place,” an HGTV series he describes as “a dating show mixed with touring houses.”

He’ll also take an active role in wedding planning alongside his bride-to-be.
“If it was up to me, I’d be building the place. I’ve been trying to pitch to her building a wedding venue, but I think she wants to do a destination wedding,” he said.
“I really want to make it her dream. She deserves to have the dream wedding and anything that she could have ever wanted. So it is my goal and job to support that and make that happen for her.”
The groom-to-be said he will be enlisting Burgess’ help for the couple’s first dance.
“I’ve seen some bad first dances and I can’t be having that on my name now after doing this show,” he said.
