White House trade adviser Peter Navarro had a camera problem on Friday, and C-SPAN’s microphone caught him complaining about it.
“So, this s—head at the pool camera won’t turn on the camera,” Navarro said into his phone outside the West Wing. He was standing in front of a row of microphones. Looking particularly bewildered, he added, “What’s the deal with that?”
Journalist Aaron Rupar posted the clip on X, where it has drawn more than 305,000 views.
“Shame C-SPAN didn’t take more of this,” Rupar wrote.
“Say it with me friends…every mic, is a hot mic,” wrote political strategist Andrew Tumilty.
Navarro served four months in federal prison in 2024 for defying a subpoena from the House Jan. 6 committee.
Later on X, Navarro complained further, “I brought one of the year’s biggest economic stories to the White House podium, and the legacy media didn’t bother to show up. 500+ new factory projects across 47 states. So if the networks won’t report it, I will.”
