Hundreds of demonstrators gathered on the National Mall on Thursday evening in response to rape allegations at Cornell University.
The gathering was one of dozens of rallies, vigils and walkouts across the country that day in the wake of the lawsuit brought last month by the case’s “Jane Doe” against the university and seven students accused of raping her. The events were organized under the banner #StopSexualViolence: From the Frat House to the White House. The D.C. demonstration ended in a march to the executive mansion.
