A young supporter of President Donald Trump rushed back to the president’s rally in a hospital gown and sunglasses after a seizure in his seat sent him away in an ambulance.
The supporter, who gave his first name as Jace, told his story in a video that pro-Trump activist Blake “Brick Suit” Marnell posted on X late Thursday from the rally in Durant, Oklahoma.
Trump was in Durant to campaign for Republican gubernatorial nominee Mike Mazzei at the Choctaw Event Center, KSWO reported.
“So, first rally ever. I got here at 10 last night to camp out, try to be first in line and get a good seat, which clearly I did. And obviously got no sleep,” Jace said, describing the night before the rally.
“It was cold. It was rainy. Had a terrible night,” he added.
“Eventually got inside after standing for however many hours. And as soon as I sat down and hit my seat — I don’t remember any of this, I’m just going based off what everyone else told me — but I started seizing,” Jace said.
“And so I got stretchered out … Driven to the hospital in an ambulance,” he continued.
“You got the wristband, the gown and everything,” Marnell said in the video, referring to the hospital gear Jace still had on over his street clothes.
“I got a CAT scan. I had to do, like, lab stuff and all that. But I told them, I can’t miss the rally, and I made it here just in time to hear Trump speak,” Jace said.
Marnell said Jace had to go back through screening when he returned to the venue.
“People saved your seat the whole time … That is awesome, Jace,” Marnell told him.
Marnell said he hoped someone from Trump’s campaign would see the video and reach out, and Jace said he wanted Trump to sign his gown.
