Tell The Post: What’s your favorite D.C.-area sports bar?

Any bar can technically be a sports bar, as long as it has a couple of screens and the right channel package. But there’s a real art to being a true sports bar, the kind where people don’t have to think twice about whether they’ll find the Commanders game playing with sound on a Sunday afternoon, or if they can watch a Capitals game on Tuesday night.

D.C.-area sports bars come in many forms. At the sprawling 32-year-old Crystal City Sports Pub, framed jerseys and scrolling tickers compete for eyes with enormous TVs. The sleek Sports and Social franchise draws crowds to U Street with walls of stacked screens and cheffy takes on New York sports bar snacks. Ireland’s Four Courts caters to multiple crowds in Arlington: Soccer fans pour in early on Saturday and Sunday mornings before fans of college sports and NFL teams take their places at the bar in the afternoon.

But now we want to know: What is the best sports bar in the D.C. area?

As we’ve done with previous subjects ranging from dive bars to pizza, we’re turning to our readers and asking you to tell us about your favorite sports bar. Is it based on the number of games they show? The quality of the food and drinks? The quality of the trash talk? Is the bar a destination for fans of your favorite team or your alumni group? (Can you love a sports bar if they also cater to your rivals?)
