‘Impeach’: Eye-opening disclaimer spotted in new Trump ad bragging about ‘American dream’

A video posted to President Donald Trump’s X account touting a “strong economy” and bragging that he has “revitalized the American dream” raised eyebrows this week, and not for the reason his team hoped: the clip itself admits the president’s voice is “AI generated.”

“America was built one home at a time,” the synthetic Trump voice declares over swelling music. “I believe that. Because the American dream was never just an idea, it was a front door. A set of keys. A place where families built their future.”

The AI voice calls homeownership a symbol of independence and stability, laments that the dream has slipped “out of reach” for many Americans because the system “stopped working for them,” then pivots to a defense of institutions like Fannie Mae.

“Working with banks so lending doesn’t stop, capital keeps moving, and people aren’t locked out because their past wasn’t perfect. When banks can say yes, families can move forward,” the voice says, before branding the “all-new Fannie Mae” the “protector of the American Dream.”

The spot revives an “all-new Fannie Mae” campaign that first surfaced in January, when the AP reported the same AI-voice disclaimer as Trump prepared to pitch housing at Davos. Its return lands as the White House scrambles to blunt voter anger over costs ahead of what’s expected to be a bruising midterm for Republicans.

MAGA accounts breathed a sigh of relief that Trump was going “all in on affordability.” Others zeroed in on the fine print, conceding the ad didn’t use Trump’s real voice.

YouTuber JerryRigEverything wrote, “‘The Audio of President Trump is AI generated and used with permission’ Dude cant even be bothered to tell his own lies. Impeach.”

Political writer Gabe Fleisher asked, “‘The audio of President Trump is AI generated and used with permission’ Why didn’t they just … have Trump say the words?”

The Republicans against Trump account replied, “Nobody’s buying your lies and propaganda anymore.”

Commentator Brian Krassenstein added simply, “Resign.”
