The Issue: AG Letitia James’ aide allegedly ordering staff to target people associated with President Trump.
Can someone please tell me how it’s possible for Attorney General Letitia James to still have a license to practice law, much less a job, after what we’ve witnessed over the past decade (“Tish’s ‘lawfare’ foul,”Sept. 2)?
She campaigned on targeting President Trump in real time and has proven that intention in every conceivable manner.
Meanwhile, Trump has targeted people who have actually broken laws, trashed our Constitution, invented false conspiracies against our highest office, indulged in fraud and committed treason. And even then, no arrests? What is wrong with our justice system?

Prosecutors have enormous power to investigate and charge people and organizations for crimes. So, unless they act ethically, impartially and with discretion, these powers are easily abused to target political enemies. This is shown by James’ Trump witch hunt.
The courts, career prosecutors and bar associations need to step up to save the justice system from becoming a tool of political warfare and destroying the ideal of treating all citizens equally under the law.

James weaponized her legal power to have her aides go after Trump and dig up any kind of dirt on him. Now that this is out in the open, the question is: Can she herself be investigated and prosecuted for abusing her power?
Can she be called to DC to explain herself on the Senate floor? Let’s see how she likes it when the tables are turned.

It’s pretty apparent that James is abusing her position as an attorney general. Instead of her prosecuting criminals, she’s busy sending her cohorts out to find dirt on the president. This is all because she has a personal vendetta against him.
James herself should be prosecuted for her allegedly fraudulent activities concerning the home she purchased in Virginia. She is another one that the governor should remove from office.

When James was running for office and a reporter asked her what her goals were if she became the next attorney general, instead of fighting crime, she said her goal was to bring down Trump. Unearthing dirt on our president is nothing new but rather an egregious pattern that defines James.

The Issue: Michigan AG Dana Nessel saying Jews “have a moral imperative” to vote for Abdul El-Sayed.
Michigan State Attorney General Dana Nessel made an inconceivable statement that Jewish people have a moral obligation to vote for an antisemite for “the needs of the world” (“Dems Flunking the El-Sayed Test,”Editorial, Sept. 2).
In his acclaimed book, Dr. Gad Saad refers to this behavior as “suicidal empathy.”
It’s the idea that Jews must sacrifice themselves for the good of humanity — an incredulous belief that harkens back to Nazi Germany and the Holocaust.

Attorney General Dana Nessel has urged Michigan’s Jews to vote for El-Sayed in order “to place the needs of the world above even our own self-interest.”
She should know this isn’t an original concept. This idea has been expressed in Jesus’ crucifixion, the unique sacrifice that would reconcile God and humanity. Another reference was “Nuremberg Christianity,” proposing that the Holocaust was a collective sacrifice of the Jewish nation that produced a moral awakening for humanity.
These opinions emphasize the need for a new moral awakening before it is too late.
