At some airports, we can’t get away fast enough.
Though essentially transportation hubs, airports have more responsibilities than simply flying passengers in and out like cargo. They need to provide us with food and drinks, diversions such as shopping and play areas for kids, and basic necessities including clean bathrooms and functioning device-charging stations. The layout must be easy to navigate and not require an electrolyte infusion to walk from the security checkpoint to the gate.
