Lionel Richie back home after 3-day hospitalization in ICU

Lionel Richie has been discharged from the hospital after checking himself into the intensive care unit after his concert Saturday.

The singer is back home in Los Angeles and is “doing great,” per People.

As Page Six previously reported, the “American Idol” judge was hospitalized after performing in St. Louis, Missouri on Aug. 29.

The 77-year-old checked himself into a local hospital to get testing done, per TMZ. Doctors reportedly linked the cause of his illness to slight dehydration.

TMZ reported Tuesday that doctors were testing him for cardiac-related issues.

Richie appeared to be struggling to finish the concert and needed assistance from his team during his show Saturday.

At one point, he even asked for a chair while performing his final song, “All Night Long.”

Social media videos show a team member bringing out the chair, which Richie sat on for the remainder of his concert.

In another video from the show, Richie drank electrolytes onstage and said, “I’m telling you, this stuff is nasty — but it works. That’s all you gotta remember — just drink your electrolytes and you too can be like me.”

This is the Grammy winner’s second onstage health scare this year. Back in June, he was rushed to the hospital after he fell ill onstage and abruptly ended his concert early.

Richie, who was co-headlining a 26-city North American tour with Earth, Wind & Fire, was visibly in distress while performing opening night at the Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota, on June 24.

He was forced to sit down several times while singing “Dancing on the Ceiling,” per fan videos shared online at the time.

“When you’re feeling dizzy, sit your ass down,” he told the crowd.

Richie eventually took an intermission and nearly an hour later, a band member told the audience that the show would be canceled because Richie was “not feeling well.”

The “Hello” crooner subsequently canceled two concert shows in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio.

Weeks later, Richie reassured fans he was “doing well” after the dizzy spell.

“Thank you for every message, every kind word, and for all your love,” he wrote via Instagram on July 4. “I’m doing well, and I’m grateful for all of you.

“Pittsburgh and Detroit were an absolute joy. The energy, the dancing, the faces in the crowd… we made real memories together.”

Richie added, “See you in Toronto… let’s party all night long!”
