The Blood of Dawnwalker devs have responded to player backlash after revealing that the game would launch on September 3 without a 60 FPS option. According to Rebel Wolves, the much-anticipated RPG will now receive a 60 FPS performance mode on launch day.
The Blood of Dawnwalker 60 FPS Performance Mode Confirmed for Launch
Last week, Rebel Wolves revealed that The Blood of Dawnwalker would target 30 and 40 FPS on consoles at launch. Some players were upset that the new RPG would not have a 60 FPS option. However, Rebel Wolves has now responded to that feedback in a big way.
In a post on X, Rebel Wolves confirmed that The Blood of Dawnwalker will receive a 60 FPS performance mode through its launch-day patch on September 3. According to the studio, the mode was already in development, but it has now accelerated testing following criticism of the game’s initial console performance options.
“The Blood of #Dawnwalker will receive a Performance Mode targeting 60 FPS on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X on Day 1 through the launch patch. Performance Mode was already in the works, but it was still being tested. We simply weren’t ready to promise it yet. We heard your feedback. It was clear how much this mattered to many of you, so we focused on finishing the next round of tests. Those results gave us the confidence we needed to confirm Performance Mode for Day 1.”
The Blood of Dawnwalker Console Performance Modes Explained
The Blood of Dawnwalker will have three performance modes on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X. However, the 60 FPS option will not be available on Xbox Series S, which will instead target 30 FPS.
