United Airlines agent threatens to call ICE on a customer

A United Airlines customer service agent at San Francisco International Airport threatened to summon Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, on a patron.

The altercation was captured on video and shared by the air travel blog “View from the Wing” on Thursday.

The union-represented agent told the customer, “Maybe we should call ICE on you,” adding, “Maybe you need to be — because you don’t act like a citizen.”

The confrontation escalated when the customer demanded she repeat the statement, challenging her to actually call ICE.

The argument intensified as the agent told the customer to leave, and toward the end of the video, the agent allegedly approached and reached for the customer’s phone.

The customer accused the agent of racism and threatened legal action.

United Airlines stated it was investigating the incident, Nerd Stash reported.

The agent did not contact ICE during the encounter.
