Late Night Is Amused by Alleged White House Teleprompter Grift

Welcome to Late Night Roundup, a rundown of the previous night’s highlights that lets you sleep — and lets us get paid to watch comedy. Here are the 50 best movies on Netflix right now.

Safe Bet

A teleprompter operator employed by the White House won around $100,000 betting on the prediction market Kalshi on words that would appear in the president’s speeches, according to the company.

“Everybody’s getting their grift on in the Trump White House, baby!” Seth Meyers said on “Late Night.”

“Honestly, respect, you know what I’m saying? Oh, I know people are going to say ‘It’s cheating if he knows what words are in the prompter,’ but with Trump, that’s not a sure thing.” — MICHAEL KOSTA

“He’s a regular Pete Rose Garden.” — IKE BARINHOLTZ

“Now, look, however you feel about online gambling, you have to admit that Donald Trump not talking about transgender mice is the funniest way to lose your kid’s college fund.” — IKE BARINHOLTZ

The Punchiest Punchlines (World Cup Final Edition)

“This weekend is the World Cup final in New Jersey. Yes, the final is in New Jersey. It’ll be a nice change to see guys in track suits who are actually playing a sport.” — JIMMY FALLON

“Speaking of the World Cup, President Trump is expected to attend the game. Argentina and Spain both pointed at each other, like, ‘And he’s rooting for you.’” — JIMMY FALLON

“Honestly, if Trump fell asleep at a Knicks game, there’s no way he’s making it through a soccer match, give me a break!” — JIMMY FALLON

The Bits Worth Watching

Seth Meyers asked Thursday’s “Late Night” guest Matt Damon about frequently getting wet in “The Odyssey.”

Also, Check This Out

Known for her impressions of Drew Barrymore, Melania Trump, Timothée Chalamet and Britney Spears, Chloe Fineman is leaving “Saturday Night Live” after seven seasons.
