Summary

  • Richard Mille launches RM72-01 “Charles Leclerc” edition, limited to 150 pieces
  • Features red-and-white quartz TPT case, skeletonized dial and flyback chronograph movement
  • Retailing at $330,000 USD, the watch honors the Ferrari F1 driver’s heritage and style

Recently, reports surfaced that Richard Mille quietly unveiled its latest limited-edition timepiece, in collaboration with longtime brand ambassador and Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc. The new RM72-01 “Charles Leclerc” is a bold reinterpretation of the brand’s automatic flyback chronograph, inspired by the Monégasque driver’s signature colors and racing pedigree.

Finished in white Quartz TPT with striking red stripes, the watch pays tribute to the Monegasque flag. A skeletonized dial continues the red-and-white theme, omitting hour numerals and emphasizing racing-inspired chronograph counters. The black crown evokes the twisting motion of a high-torque F1 tire, while the date window is framed in red and white.

The watch, powered by the CRMC-1 caliber, features a flyback chronograph with 30-minute and 24-hour counters, a function selector, and a 50-hour power reserve. It runs at 28,800 vph with a platinum rotor and ceramic bearings for high-efficiency winding.

Leclerc has been wearing the 38.4mm x 47.34mm timepiece for weeks, but the release was only recently confirmed. Limited to just 150 pieces, the RM72-01 “Charles Leclerc” is priced at $330,000 USD, with deliveries said to already be taking place among select clients.
