Having acquired the popular trading card brand Topps in 2022, Fanatics Collectibles is now doubling down on its presence in Europe with the opening of its debut London flagship store.

Located on the popular shopping district of Regent Street, the proclaimed “Home of the Hobby” marks the first of its kind in the UK – dedicated solely to the brand’s growing portfolio of trading cards and sports memorabilia, such as Merlin, Match Attax, and of course, Topps. In an effort to grow the hobby of collecting, President of Trading Cards for Fanatics Collectibles, David Leiner shared how the store will “unite seasoned collectors and welcome fans who are new to the hobby” with what is designed to be an immersive retail space.

Upon stepping into the store, visitors can expect to see a “Central Ring Display” exhibiting some of the rarest cards from various sporting franchises, including NFL and Formula 1, as well as a booth to create your own customized trading card. Bringing the physical product into the digital world, a state-of-the-art “Breaker Studio” constructed of screens and cameras will generate livestreaming content via Fanatics Live, a platform that connects local fans to the energy of live sport with real-time access to exclusive drops, breaks, and behind-the-scenes storytelling.

Ahead of the opening last Friday, Fanatics rounded up local fans and collectors to get an exclusive look at the store and even invited Lewis Hamilton to cut the ribbon for the grand unveiling. The VIP launch party evening event showcased how the space will act as a hub for the community, with interactive activities taking place in one corner, and on the other side, a live recording of the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast with Premier League footballers Dominic Solanke and Tosin Adarabioyo.
