The second round of the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational is in the books. The tournament is one of three Signature Events to have a cut after 36 holes, which was made at the end of the day.

The top 50 on the leaderboard made the cut, with Shane Lowry leading the way at 8-under, two shots ahead of Wyndham Clark. Several of the favorites are up the leaderboard, including Collin Morikawa (T3), Rory McIlroy (T5), and Ludvig Aberg and Scottie Scheffler (T12).

The highlight of the day was Jason Day, who carded an eagle, seven birdies and a bogey for an 8-under 64, his lowest score ever at Bay Hill.

However, there were plenty of big names who missed the cut, which was set at 4-over. Let’s take a look at some of them.

Biggest Names to Miss Cut at Arnold Palmer Invitational

Viktor Hovland

Viktor Hovland changed coaches, putters and even shoes before the Arnold Palmer Invitational, but in the end he did not get the result he was looking for. His first day score (77) was enough to miss the cut, although he improved in the second round (72).

Sahith Theegala

Theegala suffered greatly from the difficulties posed by the course and the weather during the first round. With only 3 of 14 fairways hit and 4 of 18 greens reached in regulation, the score of 78 was to be expected. The 27-year-old also improved on Friday (72), but it was not enough.

Max Homa

After carding an 81 in the first round, only a legendary performance could have saved Max Homa from the cut. His second round was solid (70) but he still missed the cut by three shots.

Min Woo Lee

The Australian came to the Arnold Palmer Invitational on a sponsor’s exemption, which he was unable to take full advantage of. His first round was too poor (78) and he couldn’t get low enough in the second (73).

Cam Davis

Davis is one of the few who suffered more in the second round than the first. The Australian had a pretty solid first round (70), but collapsed on Friday with a quadruple bogey on the 6th and a double bogey on the 13th. He also carded four more bogies and only two birdies to finish with an 80 for the round.
