Candice Bergen’s husband, Marshall Rose, has died.

The “Murphy Brown” alum’s life partner died on Saturday from “complications with Parkinson’s disease,” Rose’s New York Times obituary published Monday read.

Rose died “peacefully at home” and was “surrounded by loved ones” at the time of his passing. He was 88 years old.

The real estate developer’s obituary also went on to describe him as a “dedicated father and grandfather” with “high expectations for those around him.”

“His family carries on his legacy of fierce compassion, stubborn persistence, and commitment to cheering on the Knicks,” the statement also read.

“His wisdom, strength, and generosity of spirit will be remembered by the countless people whose lives he touched.”

The “Book Club” star, 78, and Rose tied the knot in 2000. Their nuptials took place approximately five years after the death of Bergen’s first husband, Louis Malle.

Although Rose and Bergen did not welcome any children together, his obituary did mention her only child, Chloe Malle.

“He is survived by his wife Candice; his children Wendi and Andrew; his step-daughter Chloe; and his grandchildren Alexander, Clio, Ell, Milo, Arthur, and Alice,” the obituary read.

Chloe gave birth to Bergen’s first grandchild in May 2020.

Rose’s funeral is scheduled for Tuesday and will take place at Central Synagogue at noon.

“In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate a donation to the New York Public Library, an institution he loved so dearly,” his family penned in the obituary.

Prior to Bergen, Rose was married to a woman named Jill. She is also deceased.

Nearly a decade before Rose’s death, Bergen gushed over the first time they met during an interview with CBS News.

“He was just a very handsome, present man. And he had beautiful eyes. And I just thought, ‘I trust this man completely.’ Yeah, and by dessert I was sort of in his pocket,” Bergen recalled.

She also went on to call him the “perfect husband.”
