British action man Jason Statham is singlehandedly, once again, going up against national corruption to help defend the vulnerable in the new trailer for Amazon MGM’s A Working Man.

Directed by David Ayer, the action thriller follows Statham as Levon Cade, a former Royal Marine now working in construction bent on living a quieter life. When the young daughter of his beloved employers goes missing, Levon must get back in the game to save her, uncovering a complex web of human trafficking along the way.

Fans of action movies, or the 57-year-old actor might recognize some elements of this plot. On this day last year, Statham and Ayer’s other project, The Beekeeper, debuted in the U.S. Although Statham is not at all new to the realm of playing brutal, steely characters, this second collaboration with Ayers seems to mark a new niche he’s carved for himself: protector of the unprotected.

In The Beekeeper, Statham stars as Adam Clay, a literal beekeeper who also happens to be apart of a secret special forces organization also called the beekeepers. When his elderly companion kills herself after falling for a disastrous phishing scam, Clay vows to take revenge.

“Mrs. Parker and I were friends,” are the words that open the trailer for The Beekeeper. “She was like family. She was the only person who ever took care of me.” Extremely similar words are echoed in the trailer for A Working Man. After another heartfelt speech, Levon Cade turns to his construction boss to say, “You’re my family.”

By the looks of the trailer, we’re definitely in store for lots of violence, crime and signature Statham stunts.

Now we’re left to wonder who he’ll protect in his next movie. A Working Man releases only in theaters on March 28.
