Sharon Osbourne has exposed some behind-the-scenes tea on her family’s infamous reality TV show, The Osbournes.
The Osbournes, which aired on MTV from 2002 to 2005, gave fans a look into the daily lives of Black Sabbath rockstar Ozzy Osbourne and his wife and manager Sharon, as well as two of their children, Jack Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne.
Sharon, who made a recent return to reality TV on The U.K.’s Celebrity Big Brother, looked back on her experience filming with her family, and admitted that one of them was never sober while the cameras were rolling.
In a recent episode of CBB, Sharon opened up about her husband’s dependence on marijuana while filming The Osbournes, saying, “He was stoned on every episode. He was never sober,” per People.
This hardly comes as a shock to long-time fans of the show, as the family has previously discussed Ozzy’s marijuana use on their podcast, The Osbournes Podcast.
In a podcast episode released last year, Sharon revealed that she pooped in Ozzy’s stash while they were on family trip in Hawaii to prevent him from smoking. In another episode, Ozzy argued that marijuana should be “legalized everywhere,” per People.
Sharon and Ozzy have also used the podcast to discuss the struggles of filming The Osbournes, with Ozzy claiming in a November 2023 episode that the TV series made him “a bit crazy at times.”
âAt the time, I said I wanted a safe room where I could go and pick my nose and squeeze a zit if I want to without being on camera, and they had a fucking camera in there,” he said. “When youâve got hidden cameras, you start to freak out.â
Kelly shared a similar experience, saying that the reality show had âa massive negative effect” on her mental health in the same podcast episode.
âImagine having to relive every conversation youâve ever had throughout a 24-hour period or six month period, and then all of a sudden people are judging everything youâve said,â she said. âYouâre just like, âWait I just thought I was having a normal conversation, now this person hates me.â Itâs crazy. It just made me so insecure.â
When discussing a potential reboot of The Osbournes, Ozzy was firm that it “wonât happen again.”
“Never in a million years,”he said on the podcast, while Jack added, âTo be honest with you, I donât think it should.”
