  • Fashion has been big and bold in 2026.
  • Florence Pugh, for example, has worn one daring look after another on red carpets.
  • Katy Perry went a different route, taking her striking looks to the stage.

There have been more than a few memorable fashion moments in 2026.

We won’t soon forget Zendaya’s “The Odyssey” dress, Anne Hathaway’s maternity looks, or Taylor Swift’s Academy Museum Gala gown.

And that’s not to mention all of the bold and sometimes shocking looks actors, musicians, and models have worn onstage and on red carpets.

These are some of the most daring looks we’ve seen celebrities wear this year.

Colman Domingo had fun with bright colors at the 2026 NAACP Image Awards.

Sergio Hudson designed his mustard-yellow suit, which comprised satin pleated trousers, a thick turtleneck top, and a floor-length trench coat.

The outfit alone was bold thanks to its vibrant color, but Domingo made it more so with fun accessories.

He wore patterned cowboy boots, brown-tinted sunglasses, diamond jewelry, and a teardrop-shaped brooch.

Sombr stood out in lace at the 2026 BRIT Awards.

The musician arrived on the red carpet wearing a custom Valentino look designed by Alessandro Michele. It included long black trousers, a red satin jacket with dramatic shoulders, and a black lace shirt with a high neckline.

The latter two pieces were especially bold.

The outerwear added bright color to the outfit, while his blouse showed plenty of skin thanks to its sheer fabric and keyhole cutouts.

Alessandra Ambrosio wore multiple daring fashion trends in one outfit at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

The Victoria’s Secret model attended the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in a custom design from Sophie Couture.

The cream-colored piece was sleeveless, with a corseted bodice. The latter had a deep neckline that plunged beneath her chest, with bedazzled padding that extended upward to cover it.

The dress also had a see-through lace skirt embellished with transparent crystals.

Anne Hathaway put a unique twist on see-through fashion for the “Mother Mary” premiere.

Her custom Lever Couture dress looked more like an art piece. It was sleeveless and floor-length, with ruffled, gauzy fabric wrapped around her body.

The dress was also semi-sheer, with a slight metallic sheen visible in the light.

Hathaway wore it with silver pumps, diamond rings, and natural-looking makeup.

Rihanna arrived fashionably late to the 2026 Met Gala, but her metallic outfit was worth the wait.

The billionaire musician wore a sculptural, metallic gown that was custom-made by Maison Margiela.

It had a jewel-encrusted top with a high neckline and long sleeves, and a floor-length skirt that looked as if it were made of liquid gold.

And that’s not to mention the gown’s outer band, which wrapped around Rihanna’s shoulders and circled her torso.

She completed the look with sandals, diamond jewelry, and gold hair accessories.

Chrissy Teigen brought back bubble skirts in an interesting way.

Teigen was photographed at the Gold Gala in a strapless dress from Aiste Hong.

The design was strapless up top, form-fitting across the body, and eye-catching at the bottom. From the thighs down, the dress bubbled into a thick white skirt with large pleats.

With minimal accessories and simple glam, Teigen let her daring dress do all the talking.

Katy Perry chose a costume-esque design to perform at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

She hit the stage in a unique Stella McCartney dress. The sleeveless piece, which extended into a wide skirt below the waist, was made from tinsel.

It was festive, fun, and certainly one of the most daring looks Perry (or any celebrity, really) has worn this year.

Cardi B proved her fashion skills at a Robert Wun runway show.

During Paris Fashion Week, Cardi B attended the Robert Wun runway show in one of the designer’s bright-red ensembles.

It comprised a strapless top with a sculptural design, a mermaid skirt that flared above the ankles, long gloves, a ball-shaped purse, and a dramatic updo hairstyle.

Pugh has worn a multitude of daring looks in 2026, but the custom Vivienne Westwood Couture gown she wore at the “East of Eden” premiere might have been her best and boldest.

It had a yellow corseted top with silver sequin embellishments and a plunging neckline. The dress also featured a long, shiny, gray skirt and a bolero jacket with puffed sleeves.

Pugh completed the outfit with a statement gold necklace and a strong updo hairstyle.

Alexander Skarsgård promoted “Wicker” in a truly unique ensemble.

At a screening of the film in London, Skarsgård wore a gold Saint Laurent suit that shimmered in the light of the cameras. You couldn’t miss it.

More daring than his outfit, though, were his shoes. He wore see-through dress shoes that revealed his feet.

Megan Thee Stallion made office attire bold at the InStyle Imagemakers Awards.

She attended the ceremony in a gray Robert Wun design. It featured a sleeveless collared top with an attached velvet corset, a mermaid skirt that bubbled around her ankles, and a long cape with pointed shoulders.

The musician also carried a purse shaped like a wolf’s head. There’s been nothing else quite like the outfit on red carpets this year.

Kim Kardashian attended the premiere of “All’s Fair” season two while wearing a skin-baring gown.

She wore an off-white Schiaparelli gown that looked as if it were molded to the billionaire businesswoman.

The sleeveless dress had a deep neckline, a fitted waist, and a fringe skirt with a mesh lining beneath it.

Kardashian also went without accessories or dramatic makeup, which made her gown look more striking. It was one of her best looks of 2026 so far.

Heidi Klum took florals to new heights while visiting the Empire State Building.

She was photographed at the iconic building while wearing a Kilian Kerner design.

The eye-catching piece looked as though it had been assembled from massive white flowers, which covered the entire garment. The dress also had a deep neckline and a thigh-high slit.

Even for Klum, who regularly wears bold ensembles, the dress was daring and unexpected.
