Chef Desmond Scott celebrates launch of brand-new cooking series with swanky Lower East Side dinner

Great Scott!

Chef and culinary creator Desmond Scott celebrated the launch of his brand-new cooking series, “Let’s Get It Started,” on Tuesday night with an exclusive dinner experience in partnership with Page Six.

Guests from across industries — including designer Jessica Rich, stylist Sierra Rena and Bilt creative director Julien Albertini — mixed and mingled at the Lower East Side’s Silver Lining Lounge where they were treated to a specially curated dinner menu by Sake No Hana.

When partygoers arrived at the chic space, they were greeted with lite bites including chili-crunch edamame, sweet bonito shishito peppers and spicy tuna tartare topped with caviar.

They later dug into lamb chops, yuzu miso salmon, Ginza chicken and short rib fried rice for the main course, and enjoyed a curated selection of cakes for dessert.

Scott made his rounds throughout the night, addressing guests and expressing excitement for his new show.

“Let’s Get It Started” is a 12-episode cooking series that offers inspiration for appetizers people can serve during group events, including game-day get-together and holiday gatherings.

Scott told dinner guests that his inspiration for creating the show came from a desire to bring cooking to a new audience.

New episodes of “Let’s Get It Started” are released Tuesdays on BET’s YouTube channel.
