Knife-wielding man arrested after clashing with crew member on NYC film set of ‘Miami Vice ‘85’: police

A knife-wielding man was arrested when he clashed with a crew member who was working on the Brooklyn set of Michael B. Jordan’s “Miami Vice ’85” Friday night, according to police.

Alex Perez, 23, is accused of disrupting the film’s production near Bay Parkway and McDonald Avenue, close to Washington Cemetery, around 11:15 p.m., the NYPD told The Post.

Perez allegedly pulled out the knife during a verbal dispute with a 43-year-old male production staffer, who feared for his safety, cops said.

“The individual was then taken into custody without incident, and the knife was recovered,” the NYPD said.

Perez allegedly brandished a large butcher knife during the confrontation, TMZ reported.

No injuries were reported.

Perez, who is from Brooklyn, was charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

He was busted previously for crimes involving alleged gang-related activity, assault with a firearm and burglary, among other offenses, according to TMZ.

“Miami Vice ’85,” starring Jordan and Austin Butler, is filming across New York City and New Jersey as production moves forward on the reboot of the classic undercover detective series.

“Top Gun: Maverick” director Joseph Kosinski is directing the crime drama.

Jordan, who stars as Ricardo Tubbs opposite Butler’s James “Sonny” Crockett, was spotted filming his nighttime scenes on the Brooklyn set Friday.

Jordan also filmed portions of the remake earlier this month in Wayne, NJ, alongside co-stars Danny Ramirez and Dominic Sessa.

Crews transformed part of Wayne’s Preakness Shopping Center into an ’80s Miami streetscape complete with palm trees and retro storefronts.

The original “Miami Vice” aired on NBC from 1984 to 1989, starring Don Johnson as Sonny Crockett and Philip Michael Thomas as Ricardo Tubbs, two undercover detectives fighting crime in South Florida.

The Hollywood reboot is scheduled for release in 2028.
