The Offspring guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman is stepping back from performing because of a “serious health issue.”
“It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that I need to step away from live performance for a while to deal with a sudden and fairly serious health issue,” the 63-year-old musician wrote via an X statement Wednesday.
Wasserman explained his bandmates were “super supportive” of his decision and reassured fans that the group would “keep rocking” in his absence.

“I hope to be back on stage sooner rather than later,” he added. “Until then, I will miss all of you with all of my heart.
“Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts. I really appreciate it.”
Several fans sent their well-wishes to Wasserman, with one writing, “Take care of yourself, Noodles! We all love you, you got this.”

“Wishing you a full and swift recovery Noodles,” another added.
The Offspring has been traveling on their “Supercharged” tour since earlier this year when they performed in Bakersfield, California, on Jan. 16.
The rock band is scheduled to perform at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on Saturday, followed by a show at the Garden Amp in Garden Grove, California, on Nov. 7.

The band formed in Orange County, California, in 1984, with Wasserman joining the original group the year after.
The group has released 11 studio albums, starting with their debut self-titled album in 1989, followed by “Ignition” in 1992.
Their last released album was “Supercharged” in 2024.

A few of their fan-favorite hits include the 1994 song “Self Esteem” and the1998 track “The Kids Aren’t Alight.”
Over the years, they’ve won several awards, including for Modern Rock Artist of the Year at the 1999 Billboard Music Awards and Best Rock Artist at the 1999 MTV Europe Music Awards.
The group’s current members include Dexter Holland, Brandon Pertzborn, Ron Welty, Todd Morse, Pete Parada, James Lilja and Greg K.
