“Beastmaster” actor Marc Singer was rushed to a hospital after experiencing pain over the weekend.
An ambulance was called to Singer’s Los Angeles-area home on Saturday shortly after 2 p.m., TMZ reported.
The outlet reported that doctors ran tests and kept the 78-year-old actor overnight. His tests came back clear and he was released from the hospital on Sunday.
It’s unclear what caused the pain.

Page Six has reached out to Singer’s rep for comment but did not hear back.
Singer is best known for his playing Dar in the “Beastmaster” film series and Mike Donovan in the hit ’80s sci-fi television miniseries and franchise “V.”
He has also starred in “Roots: The Next Generations,” “Agent Recon,” “If You Could See What I Hear,” “Dallas” and many more.

In a 2024 interview with AV Club, Singer shared how his past work in Shakespeare “The Taming Of The Shrew” got him cast in “The Beastmaster.”
“The writer/director Don Coscarelli had seen my performance in that, and he said, ‘That’s the guy I want to play Dar!’ So there was really no casting. There was just a meeting,” Singer recalled.
“We met, and we had a conversation and, man, we got right at it!” he added.

“And the next thing I knew, I was being fitted for my little leather hula skirt, and off we went into the desert again.”
Singer said he made “some lifelong friends” and “developed [his] appreciation for filmic history” filming the fantasy movie series.
“You never know how much life there is in a project and how much more life there might be yet. So I look forward to more of that, if there’s more to say!” he shared.
