We’re fully into fall, as Oktoberfests blend into festivals offering the chance to paint pumpkins, press apples into cider and make corn husk dolls. But this weekend also brings Snallygaster, the region’s largest celebration of craft beer; a pickle-centric festival that drew 1,200 fans during its 2025 debut; and Fairfax’s long-running Fall Festival, which shuts down the city’s downtown for stages of music and fun. Pig roasts, oyster festivals, outdoor concerts with popular local ’90s bands, and a brand-new flea market are also on our agenda.
