Newly emerged video shows two Chi Phi fraternity brothers telling investigators that the alleged Cornell gang rape was consensual.
The two unidentified frat brothers, who are not among the seven accused in a lawsuit, can be heard telling campus police officers in separate interviews that the events at the fraternity house were between “consenting adults,” video obtained by ABC News shows.
“What people were saying was that there was like multiple consenting adults in the room,” one of the fraternity brothers says.

“There was a consensual act that took place,” the second brother echoed, leading the interviewing officer to push back and enquire as to why they specifically used that word.
“Dude, I was a college kid. I get it. In college I wouldn’t have been like, ‘Oh, that was a sick consensual act last night,’ right? I guess how did they know it was consensual?” the officer asked.
“I mean, I can’t recall exactly what was said, but, yeah, I mean, they — they said that they had sex with her, I guess,” the second brother replied.

Neither of the fraternity brothers is among the seven named in Jane Doe’s suit as having allegedly participated in her alleged sexual assault at a party on the night of Oct. 19, 2024.
In a separate interview released as part of the same video, an unidentified female student told the police that Chi Phi held a meeting after news of what had happened spread, to get their stories straight.
The student said she was told, “This was a consensual orgy… but don’t spread it cause it would be bad for our image,” according to ABC News.
