Netflix’s Ginny & Georgia has another season coming up after Netflix served it a rare double renewal following Season 2.

Season 3 contained many shocking plotlines from Georgia’s (Brianne Howey) murder trial to Ginny’s (Antonia Gentry) surprise pregnancy and the outcome of that. After launching Season 3 on Netflix in June 2025, the show has already turned around to work on Season 4.

Read on for everything we know about Ginny & Georgia Season 4.

Is Ginny & Georgia Season 4 in production?

Yes, Season 4 of Ginny & Georgia has started production. Netflix tweeted the news with the cast back on set.

When will Ginny & Georgia Season 4 come out?

While Season 4 hasn’t completed production yet, the goal is for it to arrive in 2026.

Who is in the cast of Ginny & Georgia? Will there be new characters in Season 4?

Cast additions for Season 4 include Ali Skovbye (Whistle, Firefly Lane), Kataem O’Connor (40 Acres, The Way Home) and Sunny Mabrey (Cape Fear, The Night Agent). Skovbye, who portrayed a younger version of Tallula “Tully” Hart in Netflix’s Firefly Lane, based on Kristin Hannah’s best-selling novel, will play Rainn.

O’Connor will play Isaiah, and Mabrey will play Daisy.

Returning cast include Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller, Antonia Gentry as Virginia “Ginny” Miller, Felix Mallard as Marcus Baker, Sara Waisglass as Maxine Baker, Scott Porter as Mayor Paul Randolph, Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller, Jennifer Robertson Elen Baker, Raymond Ablack as Joe, Katie Douglas as Abigail “Abby” Littman, Chelsea Clark as Norah Cohen and Nathan Mitchell as Zion Miller.

What will Ginny & Georgia Season 4 be about?

Creator Sarah Lampert told Deadline that the theme of Season 4 is cycles.

Season 4’s logline reads “Season 4 picks up with Georgia Miller having dodged a murder charge. Life is finally back to normal, except that the Millers are broke again. And Georgia’s pregnant and doesn’t know who the father is. And strange things keep happening, hinting that maybe Georgia’s past isn’t willing to stay buried. Ginny is desperate to break the cycle of chaos, and Georgia is desperate to prove to her kids that she can. And as for Austin…well… This season it’s him against the world. The family is at a turning point. But when push comes to shove, will the Millers be able to start fresh? Or will the past pull them back in?”

What happened in Ginny & Georgia Season 3?

Season 3 picked up after Georgia’s surprise arrest at her wedding reception in the Season 2 finale to show her in jail awaiting a murder trial. Paul stood by her side throughout Season 3 until she lied to him and told him she was pregnant with his child. She used a positive pregnancy test that her daughter Ginny had discarded to convince him.

Ginny got pregnant because she forgot to take her birth control before having sex with Wolf (Ty Doran), a guy from her extra-curricular poetry class. She ultimately decided to get an abortion, and Marcus actually supported her through the process instead of Wolf. Marcus, whose depression spiked in Season 2, got suspended from school in Season 3 and developed an alcohol addiction, leading him to get taken to rehab in the Season 3 finale.

Paul decided to divorce Georgia, who then slept with Joe. She was revealed to be pregnant in the finale’s last moments, but the identity of the father has not yet been revealed.

“I know whose baby she’s carrying, but I went into the writer’s room this season and I said, ‘Here’s who the daddy is.’ Changed my mind,’” Lampert said. “So it’s live wire in there. I’m telling you right now, I am open to being convinced otherwise.”

Oh, and Georgia’s murder was pinned on Austin’s dad Gil Timmins (Aaron Ashmore) by Ginny and Austin.

“For Season 3, the question I asked is, ‘What would it take to break Georgia?’ And I mean that coming from a place of love for Georgia, because I think she needs to break to build. So Season 3 was about getting her to a place of being able to build her back differently in Season 4,” Lampert told Deadline.

Will there be more seasons of Ginny & Georgia?

When asked if Season 4 could be the last season of the series, Lampert said that there could be more story to fit into a fifth season if Season 4 gets too tight.

What is Ginny & Georgia about?

In the vein of Gilmore Girls, the series stars a mother (Georgia) and daughter (Ginny) duo who often alternate between that family dynamic and that of friendship. The show is quite edgier with themes of mental health, sex positivity, abuse and more.

Georgia had Ginny when she was sixteen, which lends itself to their complicated relationship and sometimes tension. Georgia wasn’t married to Ginny’s father Zion, but they split up and she then had Austin with Gil. Ginny and Austin moved with their mother to Wellsbury, Massachusetts in Season 1 of the show for a fresh start after Georgia’s most recent husband, Kenny, died. Georgia poisoned him.

Both Ginny and Austin’s fathers come back into the picture as the show progresses, but Georgia strikes up a romance with Wellsbury Mayor Paul Randolph, and they get married. There is also the owner of Blue Farm, Joe, who shares a connection with Georgia from a past memory of when she passed through town when she was younger.
