  • Novoflow is building AI agents for medical clinics.
  • Cofounders Mathieu Rihet and Georges Casassovici both dropped out of school to attend Y Combinator.
  • Here’s the pitch deck they used to raise $3.1 million in funding.

Nineteen-year-old Mathieu Rihet initially wanted to be a cardiothoracic surgeon. After he was diagnosed with essential tremors, he decided to pursue an entrepreneurial path.

In his sophomore year at Emory University, Rihet came across a LinkedIn post by Georges Casassovici, 18, a high school student seeking a non-technical cofounder to build with. The two began brainstorming on different ideas virtually, and both dropped out of school after being accepted into Y Combinator’s Spring 2025 class.

Now, their startup Novoflow is building AI agents for medical clinics. The idea for Novoflow stemmed from Rihet’s experiences working as a medical translator and witnessing the healthcare system’s inefficiencies firsthand.

Rihet and Casassovici met this year for the first time in San Francisco, where they are now building the company in a live-work space that will also house two future employees. They developed an AI product that automates tasks and brings together disparate electronic health records systems, starting with cancellation recovery and appointment booking.

The company has just raised $3.1 million in funding, led by super angel Justin Hamilton, with participation from N1 Ventures, Multifaceted Capital, and Standard Partners Fund.

In the future, Rihet sees AI “replacing the entire operational scope of medical clinics,” from billing to scheduling to fulfilling prescriptions.

The Novoflow team comprises a junior founding engineer and an account executive, and the company plans to use its funding to hire two additional engineers and another sales executive, Rihet said.

While Casassovici dropped out of school to start Novoflow, he still received his diploma after opting for pass/fail grading. Neither of the founders plan to return to school, Rihet told Business Insider.

Here’s a look at the pitch deck Novoflow used to raise its $3.1 million seed. Some slides have been redacted so that the deck can be shared publicly.

IT TAKES COMPETITORS 3WEEKS TO INTEGRATE IN AN ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD SYSTEM.

NOVOFLOW TAKES 3 HOURS.

Turning siloed administrative operations into unified, agentic fleets.

#1 Problem in America: every provider has its own dataset and way to access it
The operational cost of submitting a claim request is huge, and amounts to $260B in inefficiency every year.
Providers are all overflooded, acting like middlemen to string data connections together.
Operational volume is so high that patients are restricted from accessing their personal data efficiently.

Growing Market Demand
Government actively seeking to EHR coordination

Keywords like “AI inbound phone software healthcare” and “AI employees” are exponentially rising via SEO, GEO, and word-
of-mouth

An upgrade in current software is not going to happen. Too much history, small actors, individual IP.” />

By 2035, all the repetitive tasks, from billing to scheduling to fulfilling RXs are going to be fleets of agents working in synchrony. Keep the database, replace the EHR with Novoflow.

Ops overhead will be solved. Like Plaid connected siloed banks together, Novoflow becomes the ORB/middleware that makes America healthier.
