Police and firefighters are on the scene of a shooting that reportedly injured multiple people Sunday night in the west-central San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Winnetka.
Details are limited and it’s unclear exactly what happened, but officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga Division responded to the area of Saticoy Street and Oso Avenue at around 9:40 p.m.
Preliminary, though unconfirmed, information suggests that as many as four males were shot.
There are also unconfirmed reports that the incident may have been a drive-by shooting with three or four suspects in a white sedan, who fled the scene eastbound on Saticoy.
Aerial footage of the scene captured by Sky5 showed a heavy presence of police and firefighters, along with crowds of onlookers. Police had cordoned off a portion of the area while the investigation was unfolding.
It’s unclear how many people were taken to the hospital, nor were their conditions immediately available.
Traffic on Saticoy Street was closed to traffic in both directions while authorities were on the scene.
No further information was provided.
