PHOENIX — Construction began Wednesday on a luxury apartment project by Life Time, a healthy lifestyle brand, at the PV development in Phoenix.

Life Time Living Paradise Valley will be adjacent to Life Time Paradise Valley athletic country club. The club is expected to be 92,000 square feet and open in the first half of 2026.

“Since our first Life Time Living destination opened in 2021, our vision has been to redefine how people live, work and play by uniting elevated home design, curated wellness and ultimate convenience,” Life Time Vice President Parham Javaheri said in the announcement.

“With health and wellness leading global trends, Life Time continues to create destinations that foster healthy, socially connected and environmentally conscious lifestyles. Paradise Valley will build on that momentum as a model for the future.”

The apartment complex is planned to have 11 floors and 327 units, including one and two bedroom units as well as penthouse residences.

The apartments and athletic club will be connected by a pedestrian bridge to provide easy access for residents to the club’s fitness, spa, aquatics, pickleball and community areas.

Between the complex’s and athletic club’s rooftop amenity decks there will also be an almost 1.5-acre rooftop beach resort, which will be available to residents and members.

Every resident will be provided a signature membership that gives them full access to the club and Life Time locations around the United States.

In addition, Life Time Living has a concierge wellness programming that connects the residents’ at-home lifestyle with their in-club lifestyle.

RED Development is leading the apartment project and Clayco is in charge of its construction at the 100-acre PV redevelopment of the former Paradise Valley Mall.

“Life Time Living’s arrival will introduce a new kind of community to the area and reinforce PV’s continued growth as a distinctive destination,” RED Development Managing Partner Mike Ebert said in the announcement.

“Across the country, Life Time Living has showcased the strength of its concept through remarkable design and service, an impressive reflection of its talented team. This wellness-centered, high-amenitized experience will enrich both residents and the broader community, complementing PV’s focus on connection and quality life.”

The complex’s location in the PV mixed-use development will give residents easy access to retail, dining and lifestyle businesses, including Whole Foods, Blanco, Flower Child, Federal Pizza and Cala.

Life Time Living Paradise Valley is expected to be complete in 2027. There is an information waitlist for the apartment complex as well as a waitlist for the Life Time Paradise Valley athletic country club.

When it’s open, the athletic country club will join eight locations Life Time has around the Valley, including Biltmore, Glendale, Happy Valley-Peoria, North Scottsdale, Palm Valley, Scottsdale Fashion Square and Tempe.
