Theranos fraudster Elizabeth Holmes penned a cryptic social media post from behind bars, where she once again proclaimed her innocence and vowed, “The truth will set you free.”
Holmes, 42, lamented on Sunday that she has been imprisoned for “1,216 endless days and nights” as she prepares to move into a halfway house.
Her X account has remained active since her wire fraud sentencing in November 2022, but Sunday’s post was the first she signed off with her initials “EAH” – Elizabeth Anne Holmes.
“I was silenced for a long time,” she wrote. “And then imprisoned. I am fighting to prove my innocence and come home to my babies and the love of my life.
I have now been imprisoned for 1,216 endless days and nights. During that time, as we fight for freedom, my loved ones have helped manage my account.
“Billy is one of the people carrying that responsibility for me. He fights fiercely for me and our family. I love him beyond space and time.
“Starting now, all posts in my own words will be marked – EAH.”
Holmes then thanked her supporters who have written to her while she has been incarcerated, invoking the biblical quote.
“Opening letters from my supporters at the end of unforgiving days constantly ignites the fire in my heart,” she wrote. “The truth will set you free. John 8:32. EAH.”
The mom of two also shared a doting pre-prison selfie with her 33-year-old husband, Billy Evans.
Her head rested lovingly on her husband’s shoulder and she was wearing casual gear, completing her look with a dark blue Milwaukee Brewers baseball cap.
It’s not clear when the picture was taken, but Holmes is currently being held at the Federal Prison Camp Bryan – the same minimum-security, all-female prison where Jeffrey Epstein’s madam, Ghislaine Maxwell, is incarcerated.
But Holmes will be moving into the Austin Transitional Center – a privately-owned 460-bed “community corrections center” – in Del Valle, Texas on Aug. 23 2027.
She will be supervised by the United States Probation office.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons was unable to confirm Holmes’ transfer as it “does not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual, including release plans,” a spokesperson said in a statement to The Post.
“Additionally, per BOP policy, specific designation information cannot be released until after an individual arrives at their designated institution,” the statement said.
Residential reentry centers — more commonly known as halfway houses — provide assistance to inmates nearing their release into the public and provide a supervised environment to support employment counseling, job placement and financial management assistance, according to BOP.
Her move comes as she has a commutation petition still pending with the Trump Administration, which she filed last year.
Holmes, the founder of the now-defunct blood testing startup, was convicted in 2022 on four counts of wire fraud and conspiracy for cheating investors. She was ordered to pay $452 million in restitution.
But she refused to plead guilty at her trial.
Prosecutors said Holmes lied to investors from 2010 to 2015 by promising Theranos’ technology could run many medical tests on a single drop of blood from a finger prick.
She was sentenced to 11 years and three months behind bars, but she’s eligible for release on Dec. 30, 2031, after having a year shaved off her sentence.
Despite being convicted, she maintains her innocence.
“I refused to plead guilty to crimes I did not commit,” she told People in February 2025.
Holmes’ month before she started her prison sentence will be documented in the Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim-directed movie, “You Can See Everything,” which will be released on Oct. 16.
The film was recorded in secret – and its first screening happened at Telluride Film Festival earlier this month.
A trailer, which coincided with the screening, was released and in the snippet, convicted liar Holmes told her co-star, Fielder, “I’m not deceiving you.”
