PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Court documents filed this week say a Decatur woman out on bond for a trafficking fentanyl charge led a Priceville officer on a police chase while she had kids in the vehicle with her.
Ebony Latrall Taylor is charged with attempting to elude a police officer and reckless endangerment.
According to a criminal complaint, Taylor was driving on Highway 67 in Priceville at a high rate of speed in the rain when an officer attempted to pull her over.
The complaint said she didn’t stop and continued into Decatur, turning onto 6th Avenue and driving more than 20 mph over the speed limit. Court documents said she eventually stopped at a home and attempted to run inside when she was taken into custody.
Documents said officers later discovered Taylor had two children in the car with her during the chase. They also discovered she had “multiple previous narcotic-related charges,” including a trafficking fentanyl charge she was out on bond for in Madison County.
Taylor was taken to the Morgan County Jail where she is being held.
Court records also show Taylor’s bond was revoked, pending a hearing to discuss modifying her bond conditions, in the Madison County fentanyl trafficking case.
