NVIDIA Corporation Nears $5 Trillion Valuation As AI Hype Fuels US Equity Rally

The US stock market is once again being led higher by technology giants, with NVIDIA Corporation closing in on a historic $5 trillion market valuation. As of 11:27 UTC, the company’s stock was trading at approximately $201.03 per share, giving it a market capitalization of about $4.53 trillion.

NVIDIA’s rise reflects the continuing enthusiasm surrounding artificial intelligence and advanced computing. Its shares gained more than 3 percent in premarket trading, extending a rally that has made the company the most influential driver of this year’s equity gains. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures both edged higher, while Dow Jones futures traded slightly lower, suggesting that investors remain focused on growth and technology sectors.

The company’s latest advance follows reports of roughly $500 billion in new AI chip orders and plans to build multiple supercomputing systems for the U.S. government. These announcements have strengthened investor belief that NVIDIA will remain at the center of global AI infrastructure development well into 2026. With major cloud service providers, enterprise clients, and national research centers increasing demand for high-performance computing, the company’s outlook continues to improve.

Since the beginning of the year, NVIDIA shares have surged nearly 90 percent, making it the single largest contributor to the S&P 500’s performance. Its success has also lifted other technology leaders such as Microsoft, Alphabet, and Meta Platforms, all of which are scheduled to release quarterly earnings later this week. Investors are closely watching those results to gauge whether strong fundamentals can justify the lofty valuations driving the market.

While optimism remains high, analysts note that market breadth is narrow. The majority of gains are concentrated in a few large technology companies, while smaller firms and cyclical sectors have lagged behind. This concentration could pose a risk if sentiment toward AI or technology spending shifts.

Market participants are also monitoring the Federal Reserve’s next policy move, with most expecting a quarter-point rate cut later today. Lower interest rates could continue to support high-valuation growth stocks, adding fuel to the rally.

For now, NVIDIA’s momentum has become the defining symbol of the 2025 bull market. Its near-record valuation underscores the power of the AI revolution and the confidence investors have placed in the company’s ability to lead it. Should NVIDIA cross the $5 trillion threshold, it would mark a new era for financial markets and solidify its position as the most valuable enterprise in history.
